As your big day approaches, Blooming Blossoms is here to handle all your floral needs. We understand how important this day is for you, and we are dedicated to turning your vision into reality! However, before we dive into the design process, we must complete the essential preparations.
Watering Flower Buckets and Processing
Proper hydration is essential for all flowers, so it's crucial to have buckets of water ready, along with flower food, before placing the blooms inside. When we receive a shipment of flowers, the first step is processing. This involves trimming the bottom of the stems and stripping away any leaves. We then immerse the stems in a solution called Quick Dip, which helps the flowers open up beautifully. Once all the flowers are processed, we place them in a flower cooler set to approximately 50 degrees to maintain their freshness.
Designing various Floral arrangements
Designing arrangements is probably the most fun part of wedding week! This requires a lot of attention to detail, shape, and color. We design various arrangements, such as aisle entry pieces, bar arrangements, bud vases, arch pieces, and altar arrangements. Every wedding style is different, this is our chance to play with shape and experiment with new techniques.
Designing your Personals
When crafting wedding bouquets, we typically follow what’s known as a “flower recipe.” This concept applies to other arrangements as well. A flower recipe outlines the specific types and quantities of flowers and greenery to be used in each bouquet or arrangement. This same approach also extends to boutonnieres and pocket squares for the groom and groomsmen.
Pack and Load
Once everything is designed, it’s time to pack up and load! This process usually takes about 15-20 minutes, depending on the size of the wedding. We typically bring extra flowers and greenery to fill in or enhance any gaps in our arrangements. Additionally, we have a special wedding box filled with all the essentials for the big day. You can never be "too prepared" on a wedding day, as anything can happen! Once everything is ready, we head to the venue to deliver the bride's vision!
